So guys, I finally conquered my little half bath and gave it a much needed facelift. When I moved into my townhouse this little space was just fine, in theory… I wanted to change a few things about it but it definitely was not on the top of the list. So now that everything else is taken care of I decided to take on this little project.
When I first saw this place I actually liked the wallpaper in the half bath, but I had a hate hate relationship with the brushed nickel hardware. It was okay but it didn’t bring the space together like I wanted.
Before pictures…

So this wasn’t a full remodel at all, I just decided to spruce up the things that I could without breaking the bank. Here’s the 5 things I changed to give this little space an upgrade.
- I switched out the toilet seat for a fresh one. This was actually very simple and only about $30 to do and I did it myself. It took a little bit of muscle to pop the new one on. But that being said it only took me 10 minuets to change out.
- I replaced the light fixture. This was probably this biggest eye sore. I didn’t like the way the old one hung over the mirror and I felt like it cramped the space so I opted for a more contemporary black and bronze one to play off the solid black mirror. The one I purchased was from Wayfair . Installing it was defiantly a two person job but it was easy enough to install.
- The faucet- this was the other major change. I found this faucet at Lowes for under $100. This took some extra help because of the plumbing, but if you have the right tools you’ll be just fine doing this yourself.
- I changed the cabinet pulls to some that I found at Anthropologie I found them on sale and they fit great. I did this in roughly 3 minutes.
- Accessories- I did change my toilet lever and towel holder to match as well, they both came from amazon . My napkin holder and soap dispenser and trash can / toilet brush set came from Target . My toilet tissue holder is from Homegoods . Because no project in complete without something form TJmaxx or Homegoods!

Finishing touches..
The picture on the wall was actually from a high school friend of mine. She gifted it to me for my 16th birthday. It was a hand drawn piece that she had picked up on a spring break trip to Paris. It lived in my old bedroom in a super cute pink frame that she painted herself and all I did was put it in a fresh frame to match this new space.
There you have it! The 5 things I did to bring this small space together!
XOXO-
Halle
