What I wore: Sweater: LOFT , Jeans: Hudson, Crossbody bag: Coach, Shoes : Classic Converse.

I was wanting to visit a pumpkin patch for the longest so I researched and asked around and found Dewberry Farm! This place is pretty fun, there is plenty to keep you busy and don’t hesitate because you think you’re too old for all the fun.  I went with my family and the youngest person in our group was 16!

Things to do: I did the corn maze which I think is a must do, so much fun and lots of fun pictures to be taken while you get lost amongst the corn ( yes we did get turned around but that’s part of the fun). The slide was a fun thing to do, it was a slow ride down but still enjoyable! We watched the pig races which were super cute ( if adorable small pigs are something you like, I mean who doesn’t). We can’t forget the pumpkin patch I found my perfect pumpkin, (Jerry) yes I named him! If you go with a group you have to try the tug-a-war. This too is a great spot for photos. There was the coolest vintage truck full of hay perfect for fall pictures.

I’m going to share an embarrassing moment with you, amongst the crowd of people I was trying to hop up onto the truck bed for a photo-op, well my foot got caught between the truck and the pumpkin and well you can imagine what happened next, yep fell flat on my face in front of everyone! What did I tell ya, right out of a movie or book whichever sounds more appealing. I wasn’t hurt (if you’re not counting my pride because that was defiantly hurt) but I jumped back up and got some pictures and went on my way (reliving the horror of my fall for the next 2 hours at least). Oh and yes I checked YouTube to make sure I wasn’t an instant embarrassing YouTube sensation! ( I wasn’t, thank goodness).

Food: They have your typical carnival type food ( but isn’t that the best part?) I tried the Strawberry lemonade, corndogs, and fried oreos and a ton of other calorie filled deliciousness.

Other things to note: I would recommend buying your tickets on-line to avoid waiting in line. I wore converse because they are comfy and I do live in the great state of Texas so it wasn’t exactly 40 degrees ( more like 80) so a scarf and cute wool or cashmere sweaters are not exactly your best bet for a Texas October. That said I would dress comfortable. DO NOT WEAR WHITE! I’m sure you can imagine the horror of white pants or sweaters in a dusty pumpkin patch. Be sure to try all the food and goodies and not take life too seriously here, bring out your inner kid and have a good time! Make sure to stay for the fireworks!

XOXO
